AMSAC Manchester Scuba Diving Club © 2011 B. Pollard
We are a B.S.A.C Scuba Diving Club (842) based in Crumpsall, North Manchester. We use the Abraham Moss Center Pool for the training and the Heaton Park Pub for the "after pool meetings". We meet every Tuesday at the pool from around 9pm then move on to the pub at 10pm. Please feel free to pop down and meet us!
There is a new Metrolink stop opening in Spring 2011 right next to the pool.
Our aim is to provide the opportunity to learn the sport of Scuba Diving within a club environment. This means you will have plenty of support in your training and also to take part in the many organized dive trips we run constantly throughout the year. Whether you are a complete novice or an experienced diver you will find we will fulfil your requirements.
The Benefits of the club approach is twofold. The training is done by the club members, so you can be trained at your own pace. The other benefit is that there is always someone to go diving with when you've qualified.
As we are not a large club, it is not safe or practical to take on a large number of trainees at once and therefore our training intake is restricted. We offer a first come first learn policy but will be happy to tell you when we can fit you in. We can manage the occasional group sessions, as we do for the local scout groups. Group sessions can only be accommodated by prior arrangement with the Dive Officer so we can arrange the kit and instructors.
